RALLY HELD AT 66TH PRECINCT FOR MURDERED BRONX POLICE OFFICER

After Wednesday’s assassination of NYPD Officer Miosotis Familia in the 46th Precinct in the Bronx, New York City Councilmember David G. Greenfield and Community Board 12 District Manager Barry Spitzer organized a pro-police rally. It was held at 10:30 this morning in front of Brooklyn’s 66th Precinct on 16th Avenue.

"An attack on an NPYD officer is an attack on this entire city,” Councilmember Greenfield said. "We need to be clear that this is outrageous and that we admire, respect, and love law enforcement in New York City."

"These brave individuals put their lives on the line for the City of New York, and it’s important that we tell them how much we value their courage, especially at times like this,” said District Manager Spitzer.

Others present included State Senator Simcha Felder, Assemblymembers Dov Hikind and Felix Ortiz, Brooklyn Asian Civilian Observation Patrol leader Louie Liu, Brooklyn South Shomrim President Jacob Daskal, and Rabbi Bernard Freilich, according to an article in Brooklyn Reporter.
