G Train Improvement Strategy Meeting
Monday, May 20th, 6:30 p.m.
The Riders Alliance took on the issue of improving G train service and has been working on it over several months. The group will meet tomorrow evening to talk about what needs to be done so the review accurately reflects G train riders' problems. The meeting is open to everyone.
Four changes the Riders Alliance is encouraging the MTA to implement are:
- Add free out-of-system [above-ground] transfers to the J/M at Broadway and to the nine subway lines [2, 3, 4, 5, B, D, N, Q, R] at Atlantic Ave-Barclays Center from Fulton Street.
- Increase train frequency at rush hours and late nights.
- Improve communication with riders, especially when there are delays and service changes.
- Reopen station exits that have been closed for decades.
Send an RSVP to the meeting on the Riders Alliance website. Snacks will be served.
Meeting Location:
