FAKE CON ED WORKERS ARE STEALING FROM APARTMENTS AFTER BEING ALLOWED IN

Police are looking for two suspects they say are targeting elderly homeowners by posing as electrical workers and then stealing cash and jewelry. They told the homeowner they had to come in her house to do some work, but once they got inside, police said they stole her jewelry, cash and sensitive identification documents. Police said the woman is about 5-foot-5 and weighs around 140 pounds with dark brown hair. The man is about 6-foot with blue eyes and light brown hair.
This isn't a new burglary method. Searching online for "con ed" elderly brings many results for the boroughs over the years.
