Two days ago, we asked "Doesn't Anyone Know Where Kensington Is?" We now know who doesn't know--New York City Councilmember David G. Greenfield.
The New York Times sent us an e-mail stating that its reporter, Gregory Beyer, got the description of Borough Park's boundaries from Councilmember Greenfield. But that description incorrectly places part of Kensington within Borough Park: Borough Park, it says, is "Bounded by Fort Hamilton Parkway to the west, 60th Street to the south, McDonald Avenue and Bay Parkway to the east, and McDonald Avenue to the north."
Councilmember Greenfield is the City Council's representative for Borough Park, Midwood, and Bensonhurst.
