A dog's life isn't easy: running back and forth inspecting its apartment, being attentive to sounds in the hallway, barking warnings, taking their humans out for a walk.... 

 

Its duties are hard work and a big responsibility, so dogs look forward to some well-deserved down time. A relaxing bath, for instance, can be rejuvenating.

Reward your dogs and make them feel even more special than usual at a fundraiser for Sean Casey Animal Rescue on Saturday, August 19th, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., where they'll be washed with loving care by Brooklyn Bark.

Fang-tastic Halloween Online Raffle for Sean Casey Animal Rescue

Drawing: Sunday, October 25th, 6:00 p.m.

The annual Howl-O-Ween Bark Block Party fund raiser for Sean Casey Animal Rescue (SCAR) has taken place for twelve years in a row. But this year, SCAR is having an online raffle instead.

More than seventy wonderful prizes are up for grabs: vacations, goodie baskets, original artwork, electronics, a variety of gift certificates, jewelry, games, kitchenware and other household items, and many other gifts for people of all ages and for their animal companions.

 

The random drawing for the prizes will take place on Sunday, October 25th at 6:00 p.m. Everyone who participates will be notified about the outcome. Many of the prizes will be mailed or e-mailed to the winners, and others will be picked up at SCAR at 153 East 3rd Street, Windsor Terrace, Brooklyn. 

The proceeds will benefit SCAR's Critical Care Program for sick and injured animals as well as the daily needs of the shelter and its occupants.

Animal lovers and merrymakers from all over the NYC community are invited to attend a colorful and celebratory Mardi Gras Party at Shenanigans Pub in Kensington, Brooklyn! 

Come celebrate Fat Tuesday with a Southern/Cajun buffet dinner, Louisiana-style King Cake and Mardi Gras-inspired Cocktails. Food and drink so good you'll feel you're in a Brooklyn Bayou!

We are thrilled to have the fierce and fabulous Fiona St. James as the emcee for the evening's festivities!

KARAOKE AND ITALIAN DINNER FUND RAISER FOR SEAN CASEY ANIMAL RESCUE

Sean Casey Animal Rescue's Holiday Party Fundraiser

Thursday, December 12th, 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Food, dancing karaoke, raffles, and 50/50 will be the highlights of the holiday party fundraiser for Sean Casey Animal Rescue.

The donation price of $30 includes guaranteed entrance, an Italian buffet dinner prepared by Bruno Ristorante in Howard Beach, cake, and five raffle tickets.

You must be at least 21 years old to attend.

Owooooooooooooooo!! It's a block party, an animal adoption event, and a fund raiser all in one...it's Sean Casey Animal Rescue's 12th Annual Howl-O-Ween Bark Block Party!

The fun-filled, family-friendly party will be hosted again by Q104.3 DJ Maria Milito. It will span all of E. 3rd Street between Fort Hamilton Parkway and Caton Avenue, where the rescue is located.

Admission is free.

This year, the Howl-O-Ween Bark Block Party will take place on Sunday, October 20th, from noon to 5:00 p.m. 

Enjoy games, contests, prizes, and activities for kids and pups alike, including face painting and tattoos at the Goblins & Ghouls parlor and Smooch-a-pooch at the Doggie Kissing Booth.

TREAT YOUR DOG TO A BATH AT SEAN CASEY ANIMAL RESCUE'S GREAT DOG WASH

Rain date: Sunday, August 4th, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Bring your canine companion for a bath at Sean Casey Animal Rescue on the first weekend in August. The folks at Brooklyn Bark - Dog Walking and Pet Care will give your dog a refreshing, sudsy, pleasant-smelling bath--and Charlee Bear treats!

The suggested donation is $20, though a donation in any amount will be appreciated. Or, you can go the front of the line by buying a Fast Pass in advance for $25 (plus a $2.25 fee).

All proceeds from this fund raiser will benefit Sean Casey Animal Rescue's adoption van street-worthy again.

Being a dog is a lot of work--running around, barking, and being taken for a walk can wear a pooch down. In addition, protecting their human companions is a huge responsibility. So, naturally, dogs look forward to some down time. A relaxing bath will rejuvenate these doggies.

The Great Dog Wash will take place on Saturday, August 3rd, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The rain date is Sunday, August 4th, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

WIN TWO TICKETS TO A ROLLING STONES CONCERT

The Rolling Stones are bringing their No Filter tour to MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, and you can win two tickets to see them.

Imagine If...Community Donations is proud to organize this campaign for Sean Casey Animal Rescue's Critical Care Fund.

Sean Casey is a HERO! Not an opinion, but a fact. If you ever met this humble man, you would be shocked what he does behind the scenes.

Sean has risked his life while rescuing an animal. The most recent episode was an injured swan reported on the Prospect Expressway. Sean arrived on the scene and captured this beautiful, but terrified creature, and brought it to a safe haven. The saga of Sean has been going on since childhood, rescuing any animal in need.

You may see Sean at the Rescue, but he is always busy, taking animals to vets, picking up abandoned or injured animals, administering the proper care, carrying heavy bags of food, cleaning cages and anything needing to be done.

Now it is time that we, the general public, become HEROES. The Critical Care Program is expensive, in fact, it runs $15,000.00 above the other expenses incurred by SCAR.

Our campaign will run through May 14th, please be a Hero and donate, or be a Super Hero and not only donate, invite family, friends, groups and contacts to also support this cause.

Kitten Shower

Saturday, April 20th, noon to 3:00 p.m.

April through late autumn is kitten season, a time when the feline birth rate is high. During these months, lots of kittens are brought to Sean Casey Animal Rescue (SCAR); for the first eight weeks of their lives, the kittens need foster parents.

At SCAR's Kitten Shower, you can enjoy treats, games and prizes, and a fun photo booth while you see if you connect with a kitten you'd like to bring home, feed, and love until it's old enough to be adopted.

If you bring a donation to the Kitten Shower from SCAR's Amazon Wishlist, you'll be helping to provide the essentials that foster parents need to properly take care of kittens from the time they're born until they're about eight weeks old.

FOUR DOGS AND A CAT BADLY NEED DENTAL SURGERY

Critical Care Program: Funds for Dental Surgeries Needed What We Need: We rescued several dogs and cats who are in need of dental surgeries due to severe dental disease. Dental surgery is expensive and with several animals needing it at the same time the costs have become overwhelming.  How You Can Help: We are asking our friends to please make a donation today to help cover the cost of these surgeries. No donation is too small so please give whatever you can and share our appeal for help. We'd like to introduce the precious animals your donation will directly benefit.. Bambi: Unwanted by her previous owner she was given away to a stranger at a dog park. The Good Samaritan took Bambi and brought her to us. This tiny 10+ year old sweetheart was emaciated due to a parasitic infection, which we treated. Most of her teeth are missing but the ones that remain are rotted and need to be removed so Bambi can continue to regain her health and be adopted into a loving forever home. Please help Bambi get the surgery she needs! TeeTee and Dolce: TeeTee and Dolce came to us after their owner was, sadly, committed to a mental hospital. Family members were unable to take them in. Unfortunately it was apparent that they weren't receiving proper care for quite some time. TeeTee and Dolce were in rough shape when they first arrived and both are in need of dental surgery to remove their rotted teeth. They are so friendly and sweet and we would love to see them adopted instead of waiting for surgery at the shelter. Will you help us make it happen? Angel: Angel will celebrate her 12th birthday this year and we want her to be SCAR Grad when she does. She was transferred to us from Animal Care Centers of NYC after being found as a stray. Angel's teeth are in very bad shape and she will most likely need all of them removed. Please help us make Angel's next birthday her best one yet! Bella: Bella is our 2-year-old Domestic Longhair mix. Bella originally came to us skinny, feral, and had to have one eye removed because it was so badly infected. Bella has been making a lot of progress since being with us but sadly she is suffering from stomatitis and she needs to have all her teeth removed. She has already been through so much and we really want to see her thrive in a loving home.
