A second neighbor, who has our thanks, wrote to us about Monday night's fire at Jobby Wine & Liquor:

A fire at Jobby Liquor store on E. 3rd off Church Avenue brought out 4 -5 trucks. The ladder was extended to the 2nd floor. By 10 pm the fire was out and no one injured, according to the EMS men. A bystander said it had taken 45 minutes to put out.

UPDATE: More Details on Jobby Fire

Jobby Wine & Liquor, located at 334 E. 3rd Street, right off Church Avenue, burned tonight. A neighbor (thank you) sent this report:

Lots of engines. Smelled it in my house, went for a walk to see it. It hasn't burned to the ground, but the windows are smashed. I heard that the firemen had to cut the gate open to get inside. Tons of firemen. No one seemed to be hurt.
