Give & Bake is Kensington's brand-new micro-bakery, selling "small-batch baked goods with big-hearted purpose."
Owners Lucy and Mike Singer bake chocolate chip cookies, chocolate chip banana bread, and granola. They donate 20% of the proceeds to local food charities.

The first recipient of the donations was Hot Bread Kitchen. "Hot Bread Kitchen creates economic opportunity through culinary job skills training, food entrepreneurship, and an ecosystem of support for individuals who face barriers to meaningful careers."
For this month and April, the beneficiary is CHiPS Soup Kitchen & Women's Shelter. Founded in 1971, CHiPS provides community meals, runs a food pantry, offers shelter to women with young children, and distributes groceries in Kensington Plaza every other Friday.
