Ruth will be reading from her beautiful children’s books Do I Love You? Yes I Do and Like So — tender, lyrical stories that celebrate love, emotional expression, and the power of connection
@ruthformanpoet is a celebrated poet and educator whose work centers healing, imagination, and the inner lives of children.A former creative writing teacher with June Jordan’s Poetry for the People program and longtime VONA faculty member, her writing uplifts Black voices and nurtures self-awareness, creativity, and confidence in young readers.
Families will have the chance to meet Ruth, get books signed and personalized, and explore more of her inspiring work that encourages kids to feel deeply and dream freely
