Balinese
percussion group Gamelan Yowana Sari will offer a hands-on workshop from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.. They'll give participants instruction on technique, composition, and ensemble skills of traditional Balinese Gamelan music.
Workshop participants will then perform one piece ("Sekatian") in the concert that follows the workshop. The concert will take place from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The event will be held outdoors on the lawn,
weather permitting. It'll be held indoors if the weather is rainy.
A limited number of tickets is available for the workshop, which is recommended for anyone from around age ten to adults. Younger children who can sit through a one-hour+ music class can attend with a guardian.
