From Operation Gig!

Friday, May 26 6–8PM
Mycelium Trio

490 E 17th St, Brooklyn

Hailed as “The best trio you never believed could exist,” Dan Loomis’s Mycelium delivers songs from the American heartwood inside a groovy, infectious, heart-breakingly nostalgic neighborhood potluck of soul. Come spiritually hungry and leave full.

Saturday, May 27 4–6PM
Operation Gig Bluegrass Sesh with Melody Allegra Band

171 Westminster Rd, Brooklyn

It's a tradition now: the Operation Gig Bluegrass Sesh with the Melody Allegra Band. Ross Martin on guitar, Erik Alvar on bass and Melody on fiddle/vocals. Come check out some delightful bluegrass on beautiful Westminster Rd.

Sunday, May 28 4–6PM
Wayne Tucker & the Bad Mothas

121 Marlborough Rd, Brooklyn

Miles Davis meets Stevie Wonder in the amazing music of Wayne Tucker & the Bad Mothas. Wayne and his band are stalwarts of the NYC music scene and squarely the type of hard working musicians that Operation Gig seeks to celebrate and support. Come help us do that!

Operation Gig! provides live music performances outdoors on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

The series, held on the porches of private houses in Ditmas Park, started in July 2020 to offer a venue where musicians could perform during the pandemic. That gives them a source of income and provides a safe space for people to gather to enjoy live music.

Although no entrance fee is charged, a suggested $10 donation to the musicians is more than welcome. You can donate either at the performance itself or to the tax-deductible Operation Gig Musician Guarantee Fund on GoFundMe.
