NO WEEKEND F TRAIN FROM CHURCH AVE. TO CONEY ISLAND FOR MANY MONTHS

"Beginning Friday, 9/23 until early 2023, passengers should expect that from Friday at 11:45 PM until Monday at 5 AM, there will be no F train service between Coney Island-Stillwell Av and Church Ave due to the installation of CBTC signal modernization [communication-based train control]," according to New York City Councilmember Shahana Hanif's September 18th newsletter.

F trains will run between the Jamaica-179 St and Church Av stations, but they won't stop at these stations from Fridays at 11:45 p.m. until Mondays at 5:00 a.m.:

  • Church Av (no southbound service)
  • Ditmas Av
  • 18 Av
  • Avenue I
  • Bay Pkwy
  • Avenue N
  • Avenue P
  • Kings Highway
  • Avenue U
  • Avenue X
  • Neptune Av
  • West 8 St
  • Coney Island-Stillwell Av

Instead, take the D, N, and Q trains and the local buses. No announcement has been made to use shuttle buses.

Cars and pedestrians will also face limitations in some areas.
