"Manco Flowers is a first-generation Peruvian rocker writing music about love, desire, and being Latinx in America. He questioned his identity often in the predominantly white middle-class grade school he attended and through the flinging of derogatory myths and stereotypes that came with it. He started exploring these themes in the post-punk outfit cholo, which he led for ten years, recording three full albums and two EPs. He released his first EP as Manco Flowers in August 2022."

Operation Gig! provides outdoor, live music performances on weekends. The series of concerts, held on house porches in Ditmas Park, started in July 2020 in order to offer a venue where musicians could perform during the pandemic and also to provide a safe space for people to gather to enjoy live music.

No entrance fee is charged. However, donations to the musicians are welcome either at the performances or to the tax-deductible Operation Gig Musician Guarantee Fund on GoFundMe.
