Positive Psychology 101: The Basics of Flourishing
                    Saturday, January 21st, 2:00 p.m. to 3:15 p.m.

Positive Psychology 101: The Basics of Flourishing, a workshop taught by Katrina Lempenski, will instruct participants in the fundamentals of Positive Psychology,
known as "the art of thriving."

Positive Psychology, a rapidly growing scientific movement, demonstrates the strengths and virtues that enable individuals, organizations, and communities to flourish.

The field teaches individuals to create more well-being, happiness, and satisfaction. Research shows that this is predictive of life and organizational success.

Three core "areas of flourishing" make up the science of Positive Psychology.
-- Better understand people. Expand your awareness of human nature, behavior, and wiring of the brain and body.
-- Know thyself. Gain a clear understanding of your thought patterns, emotions, and actions, enabling you to masterfully and authentically navigate your personal and professional relationships.
-- Recognize why and how well-being strategies work. Absorb strengths-based resilience tools that can be applied at home and in the professional setting. Learn why and how these wellness methods work, allowing for immediate application in your everyday life.
