RELIEF FUND ESTABLISHED IN THE AFTERMATH OF THE 13TH AVENUE EXPLOSION


The Mayor’s Fund to Advance New York City has launched the Borough Park Relief Fund. Its aim is to provide emergency relief to the individuals, families, and businesses affected by the explosion that destroyed 4206 13th Avenue in Borough Park last Saturday, October 3rd, and killed the two people who were inside the building.

The money that people contribute will help these devastated individuals pay for a variety of costs, including relocating, replacing destroyed and damaged possessions, funeral costs, and medical expenses.

People can donate online or can mail a check payable to the Borough Park Relief Fund to

If you donate by check, write "Borough Park Relief Fund" in the memo section of the check.

The Mayor's Fund to Advance New York City is a 501(c)(3) public charity; all donations are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.

The Mayor's Fund is coordinating support in partnership with the Borough Park Jewish Community Center, the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce, the American Red Cross, and The Salvation Army, along with Councilmember Brad Lander and other Brooklyn elected officials.
