Abby McEntee was an eyewitness to the fire on Monday morning in which a Land Rover was badly damaged while parked on Prospect Park Southwest, between 10th and 11th avenues. She wrote on the KWT Neighbors listserv (reprinted here with her permission)
I saw the fire and the article [in Park Slope Patch] seems to have it wrong. The SUV was not originally on fire. There was a sedan/car on fire in the road right next to it completely engulfed in flames. That car's flames seemed to melt then set the parked SUV on fire. The cars parked in front and behind the SUV also sustained melting and damage. The car in the road was eventually towed away.
