CONNECTING KIDS AND COMPUTERS

More kids can connect with more computers at the Windsor Terrace Library, thanks to City Council District 15 residents.

They voted through Councilmember Brad Lander's participatory budgeting project to allocate a total of $75,000 for computers for that branch and the Carroll Gardens Library.

Windsor Terrace got four toddler computers (Early Literacy Stations from AWE),

five adult computers,

and this SMART board, demonstrated by Kairi Hollon,
the branch's Technology Resource Specialist.

Kairi teaches kids, the elderly, and everyone in between how to use computers, tablets, and a host of other electronic devices, either in a class or one-on-one.

He also teaches young people about the ancestors of these devices, helping them understand their history and appreciate what's available to them today.
