QUALITY OF LIFE CONCERNS AND PUBLIC SAFETY ISSUES ARE ON THE AGENDA

Public Safety Committee and Transportation Committee
Monday, November 14th, 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

There will be a joint meeting of the Public Safety Committee and the Transportation Committee of Community Board 7 (Windsor Terrace, South Slope, Greenwood Heights, Sunset Park) on Monday, November 14th, at 6:30 p.m. on Zoom.

The committees will request detailed information from the 72nd Precinct commander, Deputy Inspector Ernesto Castro, on the following topics: 
  1. Quality of life concerns (including bikes and e-bikes on sidewalks, dangerously drive e-bikes and e-scooters, visible drug use, and theft)
  2. Safety (in the streets, on transit, and in the park, including tractor-trailers traveling on residential streets)
  3. 311 call responses, including slow response times and cases getting closed without being resolved
  4. Community concerns 
  5. Enforcement activities in CD 7
