RESCHEDULED: TRASH THAT TRASH: OCEAN PARKWAY COMMUNITY CLEANUP

SECOND UPDATE: The cleanup has been rescheduled for Sunday, October 25th. It will start at 10:00 a.m. and end at noon.

UPDATE: EVENT CANCELED. The Parks Department has canceled the October 12th cleanup of Ocean Parkway. It has canceled all events in red and orange COVID-19 zones.

Ocean Parkway Community Cleanup
Monday, October 12th, 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

The next community cleanup of beautiful, historic Ocean Parkway will take place on Monday, October 12th (a federal holiday), from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The rain date is Sunday, October 25th, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
 
The Kensington Stewards (TKS), the Albemarle Neighborhood Association (ANA), and the Ocean Parkway Community Development Corporation (OPCDC) will co-sponsor it, along with the New York City Parks Department.
 
The Parks Department, TKS, and ANA will provide grabbers, rakes, and gloves for picking up the litter and garbage bags to stash it in.

After meeting on the east side of the intersection of Ocean Parkway and Beverley Road (the side of Ocean Parkway that's closer to E. 7th Street) at 9:00 a.m., volunteers will clean up the east side of Ocean Parkway, between Beverley Road and Avenue C. Join them at any time between 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.
 
Wear a mask, and be mindful of social distancing.
