That's the new, dedicated e-mail address in the 72nd Precinct for reporting
- pedestrian hazards,
- generally dangerous conditions or areas,
- streets where double-parking is commonplace, and
- lack of enforcement of existing traffic laws, particularly
- speeding and
- failure to yield to pedestrians.
Community Board 7 and its residents have been emphasizing the need to improve traffic-related safety; the 72nd Precinct is hearing them and responding. Pedestrians, bicyclist, and drivers need solutions that will keep them alive and uninjured. Some solutions lie in making changes to laws and street designs; others lie in enforcing laws already in effect.
