RESCUED DOG STOLEN, THEN FOUND

A one-year-old Pekingese was stolen from Sean Casey Animal Rescue Friday afternoon and was tracked down and returned about four hours later, with the assistance of  Sean's employee Scott Berliner, who wrote down the license plate number of the thief's car as she drove away; the 72nd Precinct, which traced the car to the thief's father's home; and the thief's father, who told the police where his daughter lives.

Scuffy, the dog, was not harmed, and is still available for adoption. See "Scuffy. Pekingese Mix: An adoptable dog in Brooklyn, NY" on Petfinder.

Read "Dog-napped Pooch Found In Time for Christmas" by Cynthia Magnus for the rest of the story.
