72nd Precinct Community Council Meeting
Tuesday, September 8th, 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
The 72nd Precinct Community Council will meet on Tuesday, September 8th, from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., at Brooklyn Prospect Elementary School. People who live in or work in Windsor Terrace, Greenwood Heights, South Slope, and Sunset Park are invited to attend.
The Commanding Officer, Captain Ernesto Castro, who was appointed to the 72nd Precinct earlier this year, will be at the meeting, along with the Neighborhood Coordination Officers. Join the discussion about the types of crime
that have been taking place, their frequency, why they happen, and what the police and the public can do to help prevent them.
Newly-assigned Community Affairs Officer Susan Alexander will also attend the meeting. She replaces Officer Sean Spencer, who was on the job for six years. The phone number for Community Affairs is (718) 965-6326.

Meetings of the 72nd Precinct Community Council typically take place on the second Tuesday of each month at 7:30 p.m.
The Community Council hasn't met in person in Windsor Terrace since November 2019. At the regularly-scheduled monthly meeting, residents--particularly those living in the southwestern portion of Windsor
Terrace (north of Caton Avenue and west of Ocean Parkway)--reported their concerns about a variety of issues, including group assaults, groups of people armed with guns and/or knives, home and car break-ins, and package theft.
As a result of the complaints, a special follow-up meeting was held two weeks later, and some of the issues were addressed.
