Fix It: Healthcare At The Tipping
Point examines how the healthcare system
"damages the economy, suffocates business, discourages
physicians, and negatively impacts on the nation's health--while
remaining unaffordable for one-third of our citizens."
The advocates for reform
included in the film are activists, health policy experts, economists, physicians,
nurses, patients, and business and labor leaders.
After the screening, Dr. Roona Ray, family doctor and board member of
Physicians for a National Health Program - NY Metro Chapter, will speak
and will take questions about the New York Health Act and grassroots
efforts to bring universal healthcare
to New York.
