TRAGIC CAUSE OF LAST NIGHT'S G AND F TROUBLES

At about 11:00 last night, the Fire Department reported that two people, including a child, were pinned under a train at the F and G station at Church Avenue/McDonald Avenue and that extrication was in progress, with EMS on the scene [source: New York City Alerts].

At about the same time, Boro Park News HQ wrote that at McDonald and Church avenues someone had been struck and was pinned under an F train. The power had been turned off. The NYPD, ESU [Emergency Services Unit], and EMS [Emergency Medical Services] were on the scene.

A few minutes later, at 11:06, a news service reported that a male was pinned; another news service reported at 11:53 that the person was dead [source: Gothamist].
