IT'S YOUR MONEY. WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE $1.5 MILLION TO BE SPENT ON TO BENEFIT YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD?

Step 1: Think of ways that you'd like $1.5 million of your District 39 New York City Councilmember's budget spent to improve your neighborhood.

Step 2: Post your suggestions on the Participatory Budgeting Ideas Map. Click on "Manual & Guidelines" for instructions on how to submit your ideas.

Everyone who lives, works, or goes to school in District 39 is invited to submit one or more ideas for that district. The boundary map for District 39 is at https://www.nyc.gov/assets/districting/downloads/pdf/39-Final-Plan-10-6-22-Districts.pdf.

Submit your suggestions on the Ideas Map by November 6th or at an Idea Collection session.

The Windsor Terrace Idea Collection session will be held on Tuesday, October 20th, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., at the Windsor Terrace Library, 160 E. 5th Street, corner of Fort Hamilton Parkway.

The Kensington Idea Collection session will be held on Friday, October 23rd, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m, in Kensington Plaza, 118 Beverley Road, between McDonald Avenue and E. 2nd Street.

To be eligible, an idea has to be for a "capital" project, an improvement to the  physical infrastructure that benefits the public, such as improvements to schools, parks, libraries, streets, and other public spaces. A project has to cost at least $50,000 and has to have a lifespan of at least five years.

"Expense" projects, like afterschool programming or expanding bus service, aren't eligible for funding.
