Alternate-side-of-the-street parking regulations (for street cleaning) as well as parking meter regulations are suspended on Sunday, January 1, 2012 (New Year's Day), and Monday, January 2, 2012 (the day that New Year’s Day is officially observed in 2012).
On major legal holidays--like these two days--stopping, standing, and parking are permitted, except in areas where stopping, standing, and parking rules are in effect seven days a week (for example, "No Standing Anytime").
