Police arrested Stuart Cato, 39, of Queens on Friday for allegedly groping a woman at about 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday as she was leaving the S train's Brooklyn Botanic Garden station. She had gotten on the train at Franklin Street, the previous stop.
The 24-year-old victim said Cato was making obscene gestures toward her on the train, so she photographed him with her cell phone. When she got off the train and was walking up the steps to go outside, Cato also got off the train and followed her. He grabbed her buttocks from behind, she slapped him in the face, and he ran away.
Cato is charged with forcible touching, harassment,and sexual abuse.
