Thirteen assaults by pellets fired from a BB gun were reported in 2011 in the vicinity of Ocean Parkway by Avenue C and Cortelyou Road. That information was provided by Deputy Inspector John Sprague, commander of the 66th Precinct, at the Albemarle Neighborhood Association on October 27th.
Another assault occurred yesterday afternoon when a man crossing the street at Cortelyou Road and E. 2nd Street was struck in the leg by a BB pellet or a rubber bullet. Earlier in the day, two cars parked on Cortelyou by E. 2nd and one on E. 2nd were damaged by BB pellets. (Source: The Yeshiva World News)
