UKRAINE: DRIVERS, YOU'RE NEEDED TO DELIVER HUMANITARIAN AID FOR UKRAINE FROM BROOKLYN TO NEW JERSEY

Update, March 8th: A new Facebook page for Flatbush Jewish Center's Ukraine support work has been set up. Follow it to see the latest updates and requests about the donation drive and humanitarian relief to Ukraine. The URL for "Ukraine Support in Brooklyn - hosted at FJC" is https://www.facebook.com/Brooklyn4Ukraine/.

The donation drive in Kensington for humanitarian aid for Ukraine was an overwhelming success. The next step is picking up the donated supplies from Flatbush Jewish Center (FJC) tonight, tomorrow, and Wednesday and driving them by car, van, or truck to the Meest-America warehouse in New Jersey.

From the warehouse, Meest-America will ship the supplies for free to International Charitable Foundation Meest in Lviv to be dispersed to selected Ukrainian charity relief organizations.

Posted by Flatbush Jewish Center:
We have 93 boxes of food/meds/toiletries and 81x 50 gallon clear bags of clothing!

Now we need DRIVERS to bring the items to the Meest Warehouse in NJ. We are prioritizing the med supplies, food & toiletries first and then clothing will go next.

I am setting up a sheet to track the list of drivers (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/10BBSlOM36APpMef76T1M35A4BJXu-au9-AZHGU3Qzjw/edit?usp=sharing), and please also signup for the day that you can deliver here.

Pick up items at Flatbush Jewish Center. We will have time slots open for drivers to pick up items. Please check available time slots and sign up to help!

The time slots for pickup at FJC are
  • Monday, March 7th, 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
  • Tuesday, March 8th, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
  • Wednesday, March 9th, 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Flatbush Jewish Center is at 327 E. 5th Street, at the corner of Church Avenue in Kensington, Brooklyn.
