NO MORE SNOWPOCALYPSE

Seven laws that the New York City Council passed yesterday are intended to save us from enduring another snowpocalypse. The laws are
  • Develop and Publish an Annual Snow Response and Preparedness Report (Office of Emergency Management)
  • Develop Borough-Based Snow Removal Plans (Sanitation Department)
  • Create a Registry for Snow Removal Volunteers (Sanitation Department)
  • Create Weather Emergency Protocols  (Office of Emergency Management)
  • Improve Communication of Changes to Government Services
  • Improve the 311 System
  • Strengthen Ambulance Response
A description of each law appears in The New York Observer.
