LIBRARIES IN KENSINGTON AND WINDSOR TERRACE ARE OFFERING EXPANDED SERVICES

COVID-19 has caused staff shortages at some branches, affecting their hours of operation. Some branches have delayed openings, and some are not open at all. Before visiting a branch, look at the Brooklyn Public Library locations map at https://www.bklynlibrary.org/locations to find out the branch's current hours and status.

Currently, the Kensington branch and the Windsor Terrace branch are open. They and all other open branches are offering expanded service.

The expanded services that are now available at open locations are
  • browsing the collection
  • seating
  • computer reservations
  • picking up holds
  • signing up for a library card
  • Print on Demand
  • outdoor programming
  • reference assistance
  • public restrooms
  • returns.
Meeting rooms are not yet available.

Select indoor programming is resuming. Check the individual event listing at a branch for guidelines and requirements.

Patrons and staff have to wear a mask at all times and must follow social distancing and other guidelines
