PARKING RULES FOR LUNAR NEW YEAR

Alternate side of the street parking regulations will be suspended on Friday, January 24th, and Saturday, January 25th, for Lunar New Year's Eve and Lunar New Year. All other parking regulations will remain in effect.

Parking meter regulations are only suspended on these major legal holidays: New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

Excerpted from National Geographic:
"though it is known to some in the West as Chinese New Year, it isn’t just celebrated in China. the date of the lunar new year depends on the phase of the moon and varies from year to year. Today, Spring Festival is celebrated in China and Hong Kong; Lunar New Year is also celebrated in South Korea, Tibet, Vietnam, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, and places with large Chinese populations."
