SNOW ALERT FOR THURSDAY
A Snow Alert goes into effect on Thursday, November 15th, at noon.
Alternate side of the street parking regulations will be suspended citywide to facilitate winter weather preparations and snow removal. Payment at parking meters will remain in effect throughout the city.
The New York City Department of Sanitation (DSNY) is coordinating with New York City Emergency Management and the Department of Transportation on snow-clearing protocol, and all relevant city agencies have been notified.
DSNY will continue to monitor forecasts and will provide updates as the snow approaches.
All winter weather information and information about the City’s response to the storm is on the city’s Severe Weather website at www.nyc.gov/severeweather or at 311.
You can sign up for Notify NYC, the City’s free emergency notification system, to receive phone calls, text messages, and e-mail alerts about severe weather events and emergencies.
Sign up by calling 311, going to www.nyc.gov, or following @NotifyNYC on Twitter.
The DSNY Snow 101 FAQ is available online here.
