66TH PRECINCT NEIGHBORHOOD COORDINATION OFFICERS WILL MEET IN KENSINGTON

Left to right: Officer Ramirez and Officer Chow

Kensington's newly-assigned "beat cops," officially known as Neighborhood Coordination Officers (NCOs), are Police Officer Shawney Chow and Police Officer Joel Ramirez. They can be contacted at Shawney.Chow @ nypd.org and Joel.Ramirez3 @ nypd.org.

In recent years, the NYPD has been dividing precincts into sectors as part of its new policing model, known as "community policing." The 66th Precinct is divided into four sectors: Sector A or Adam, Sector B or Boy, Sector C or Charlie, and Sector D or David.

Boundaries of Sector D (Kensington), based on the map at the top of this blog post, are 37th Street and McDonald Avenue to the west, Coney Island Avenue to the east, Avenue F and 18th Avenue to the south, and Fort Hamilton Parkway to the north.

All of the 66th's NCOs will be officially introduced to the public at JHS 62 on Wednesday, August 1st, at 7:00 p.m. Doors will be opened at 6:00 p.m. Refreshments will be served before the meeting begins.

Attendees will meet and speak with the NCOs assigned to all four of the 66th Precinct's sectors.

A flyer will be handed out at the meeting that shows the boundaries of each sector as well as contact information for the NCOs in each sector.

RSVP for the meeting by Wednesday, July 25th, by calling Community Affairs Officers Priscilla Colon or Thomas Kukla at (718) 851-5601 or by sending an e-mail to Thomas.kukla @ nypd.org or Priscilla.colon @ nypd.org.

The school is accessible for people with disabilities. For accommodations for any disability, contact Officer Colon at (718) 851-5601 or Priscilla.colon @ nypd.org by Friday, July 27th.
