The NYPD Emergency Service Unit and Bomb Squad investigated a suspicious package in Windsor Terrace this morning at Prospect Park West and 16th Street. They determined that it was a fake bomb.
The package had been placed in the wooden planter in front of Connecticut Muffin at 206 Prospect Park West.
The New York Post writes that "the device, which was quickly deemed safe, was encased in what appeared
to be cardboard packaging and wrapped in silver duct tape. A cooking
thermometer and red wiring were protruding from the top."
