TOURS AND ACTIVITIES AT PROSPECT FARM--WINDSOR TERRACE'S COMMUNITY FARM

Prospect Farm Open House
Saturday, October 14th, 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

At Prospect Farm's fall Open House, adults and children can tour the farm, purchase baked goods, join in a sing-along, plant bulbs, and participate in a scavenger hunt.

The open house will take place on Saturday, October 14th, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. It's free and open to the public, although donations are always welcome.

Prospect Farm is currently collecting autumn leaves. Bring yours to the farm on any Saturday (including October 14th) between 11:00 a.m. and noon. You can also bring food scraps at that time for composting.

Prospect Farm is located at 1194 Prospect Avenue in Windsor Terrace, Brooklyn, just below the Seeley Street overpass.

About Prospect Farm

"Prospect Farm is a non-profit, cooperative project in Windsor Terrace, Brooklyn, that is working together to grow food in a formerly vacant lot, owned by Tom Angotti and Emma Matos, with the mission toward creating a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) Farm that can serve our community.

Since March 2010 Prospect Farm has been a community project development toward producing healthy local food as an alternative to industrial food. Our objective is diversity in food production and membership. We are slowly creating healthy soil through our community composting project and farm without chemical fertilizers, pesticides or herbicides.

Prospect Farm is a community association with membership open to all. Members improve and farm the land and sustain ties with local residents, businesses and organizations. We support the Brooklyn Food Coalition and other initiatives for food sovereignty and food justice."
