P.S. 130'S FUN FALL FEST

P.S. 130 PTA to Hold Annual Fall Fest Celebration!

The P.S. 130 PTA is holding its Annual Fall Fest on Sunday, October 15, 2017, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the P.S. 130 Upper School, located at Caton Avenue and E. 7th Street.

Fall Fest is open to the public. Come to Fall Fest and encourage your friends and neighbors to do the same!

There will be fun activities for the entire family to enjoy, including a haunted house, pumpkin decorating, bounce houses, pony rides, Lego activities, henna tattoos, face painting, and live music.

Admission to Fall Fest is free. Many of the activities are also free: craft tables, Brooklyn Game Lab games, and Battle Lab (battling with soft foam swords).

Some cost $1 each: the bounce houses, the haunted house, and the pony rides. Tickets for those activities can be purchased at Fall Fest for $1 each. A ten-ticket wristband entitles children to unlimited turns in a bounce house.
Using tickets allows children to participate in these activities without having to handle money.

We are especially grateful to Brooklyn Game Lab and Wingspan Arts, who will be running the Battle Lab and an art table for free, and Abigail Palanca of Compass Realty, a third-generation Windsor Terrace resident who has stepped forward to sponsor our event.

We have an amazing array of goodies to raffle, thanks to Alden Moves, the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, Barking Cat Studio, Brooklyn Commune/Butterfunk Kitchen, Della/Juice Box, Der Pioneer, Handy Matt Construction, and The Kings Bay Y. Be sure to get your raffle tickets early!

Baked goods, drinks, and assorted snacks will be available for purchase. Get your Halloween costumes at our gently-used costume sale.

All funds raised will be used to support the P.S. 130 PTA.

"This event is a wonderful way for the community to support P.S. 130, and for P.S. 130 to support the community," said P.S. 130 PTA Co-President Lisa Jackson Zelznick.

"Fall Fest is an opportunity to celebrate the season and our community; we are excited to provide a day of fun for our neighbors while also raising funds to support important PTA initiatives, like professional development, direct support to classroom teachers, and improving the school library."
