PURIM CELEBRATIONS THIS WEEKEND


Chabad of Windsor Terrace

Saturday, March 11th
Maariv, 7:00 p.m.
Megillah Reading, 7:15 p.m.

Sunday, March 12th
Megillah Reading, 4:00 p.m.
followed by the 8th Annual Purim Bash 

On Saturday, March 11th, Maariv begins at 7:00 p.m., and the Megillah Reading begins at 7:15 p.m.

On Sunday, March 12th, the Megillah Reading begins at 4:00 p.m. After that, Chabad of Windsor Terrace invites everyone to eat, drink, and celebrate with a DJ, hamentash bar, Purim buffet, and open L'chaim's bar, all free. 

Wear a costume.

Purim Themed Tot Shabbat, with Leah, 10:30 a.m.

Havdalah, 7:00 p.m.
Megillah Reading, 7:15 p.m.
Party, 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Featuring music, games for all ages, great food, and the Purim shpiel led by Rabbi Lev Meirowitz Nelson.

The cost is $5 per adult, with children admitted free.

Purim Festival, noon to 2:00 p.m.

Featuring games, music, crafts, prizes, and more.

                          Kings Bay Y at Windsor Terrace

Sunday, March 12th
              Annual Purim Family Festival, 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Celebrate Purim, the most festive Jewish holiday of the year. Show off your best costume. Make your own hamentachen cookies. Create "mishloach manot" goodie bags for your friends and family. Other highlights include face-painting and mask-making.

The featured special musical guest is Tkiya: The Jewish Community Music School.

Admission is free. The festival is open to the whole community. Adults and children are welcome.

Hinterlands Bar

 Sunday, March 12th, 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
Purim Party

Hinterlands Bar will kick off its Purim party with a potluck at 6 p.m. Bring any dish you want. Carnival games will be played in the back room (or in the backyard, weather permitting) to raise money for Make the Road NY.

Wear a costume because at 9:00 p.m., a costume contest will be held.


Hinterlands is a bar, so the party is only for ages 21 and over.

Everyone is welcome to join in.
