FIRE ON WINDSOR PLACE CAUSES SOME INJURIES

A two-alarm fire broke out this morning in the basement of the house at 276 Windsor Place (between 11th Avenue and Terrace Place). The house is currently undergoing renovation. The fire in the two-story, single-family home began at about 10:40 or 10:45 a.m.; FDNY had it under control within fifteen to twenty-five minutes.

Three firefighters were treated at Methodist Hospital and three at Maimonides, according to the Daily News. Oxygen was administered to a cat and a dog at the scene of the fire; they live in the house next to the one that caught fire.

106 firefighters and 25 units (fire engines, ladder trucks, and any other needed vehicles) were dispatched, the standard number for two-alarm fires.
