FREE STEEL PAN CONCERT MOVES A LITTLE; 60+ MERCHANTS PARTICIPATING IN SIDEWALK SALES

The location has changed for the free live music concert by steel pan bands CASYM Steel Orchestra and Metro Steel Orchestra. Instead of appearing at Flatbush and Church, the musicians will perform at the Flatbush Caton Market, at the corner of Flatbush and Caton, to provide a large plaza area for concert-goers. The groups will perform from noon to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 23rd, coinciding with the first three hours of the shopping event.

Over 60 retailers are marking down their merchandise in preparation for the Sidewalk Sales event happening from Friday, August 22nd, through Sunday, August 24th, from noon to 6:00 p.m.

Participating retailers will offer 10% off the purchase of any one item valued at $20 to $100, and participating eateries will offer a free can of soda with a food purchase of $5 or more.
