DELAYS ON THE F TRAIN: WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS (?)

"The F train is the MTA's most delayed subway line," according to a new report from the Straphangers Campaign, Gothamist reports.

That conclusion is based on the e-mail and text alerts that the MTA sends to everyone who signs up to receive them. The MTA explains that "an alert is issued for any reported incident that will impact service more than 8 to 10 minutes. Only incidents deemed 'controllable' were accounted for, i.e. track problems, but not sick passengers or police activity."

The G train had a much better record: it had the second fewest controllable significant incidents.
