Neighborhood volunteers during a previous clean-up
The results of their work

Volunteers are needed on Saturday, May 31, 2014, for A Clean Church Avenue (organized in partnership with Flatbush Development Corp.’s Neighborhood Beautification Day).

We will be painting over graffiti, cleaning up trash, and scraping posters off buildings and we hope you can help! Families are welcome, and additional help is needed to clean the residential streets bordering Church Avenue.

What: A Clean Church Avenue neighborhood beautification

When: Saturday, May 31, 2014 (rain date: Sunday, June 1st), from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Where: Meet up at 9:00 a.m. outside Downtown Natural (Church Ave. and E. 17th Street)

T-shirts and supplies will be provided to all volunteers.

Checkers Restaurant will be donating coupons for a free lunch to the first 45 volunteers who complete the day.

Volunteers are invited to join us after the clean-up for a fabulous backyard BBQ right off Church Avenue. Please RSVP for the clean-up and BBQ to katiem @ churchavenue.org or call 718-282-2500, x79290.

This event is sponsored by Councilmember Mathieu Eugene, Councilmember Jumaane Williams, HealthPlus Amerigroup, with additional support from Lowe’s, Downtown Natural Market, Medina Silk, Checkers, and the businesses of Church Avenue.
