OLDER MEN ROBBED NEAR KENSINGTON

Several older men were robbed of their jewelry in July, including these two near the western end of Kensington.
  • Robbery: July 10, 40th Street between 9th and 10th avenues. At gunpoint, a man held up a 70-year-old man, robbing him of his gold bracelet and necklace. The criminal fled. No injuries were reported.
  • Robbery: July 28, 38th Street between 12th and 13th avenues. At gunpoint, a man held up a 70-year-old man, robbing him of his bracelets and necklace. No injuries were reported.

The alleged perpetrator of both alleged robberies is described as being in his early 20s, about 5 feet and 5 inches tall, and weighing approximately 150 pounds.
