SHORT STREETS IN KENSINGTON

Forgotten New York posted an article in July about the one- or two-block long "Lanes of Kensington: Short Streets South of Prospect Park." The plates from atlases published in 1890 and 1929 are fascinating, and the photos of houses of widely varying styles, trees, lawns, and gardens on Kermit, Caton, Friel, Turner, Hinckley, Lewis, and Slocum places and Matthews Court show what a beautiful neighborhood this is.
