COMMUNITY MEETING ABOUT WALGREENS

Lauren Elvers Collins, chairperson of the Windsor Terrace Alliance, reported here on Friday that Assemblymember Jim Brennan has  been working on scheduling a meeting between Windsor Terrace residents and Walgreens. The chain will be opening a store in the Key Food location on Prospect Avenue after Key Food closes this month.

Ms. Collins reports today that Assemblymember Brennan, New York City Councilmember Brad Lander, Borough President Marty Markowitz, Community Board 7, and the Windsor Terrace Alliance will co-host a community meeting on Thursday, June 14th, at 7:30 p.m., at Shepherd's Hall at Holy Name Church. Walgreens has been invited to participate and is trying to make those arrangements.

Holy Name Church is at 245 Prospect Park West, at the corner of Prospect Avenue.
