Block Party

Sunday, June 3rd, 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Compost for Brooklyn, a community composting project based in Kensington, will hold a block party where people can "eat, play, grow, learn, and dance in the street in celebration of summer."

Participants, so far:

• Primary Records will curate the music.
• Build It Green! NYC
• Agrowculture
• Cantaloupe Alone: learn about pickling and fermentation.
• Blooming Urban Design Scapes will host the workshop "All About Herbs," which will include a blindfolded contest to identify herbs by smell.

Also, 200 trees will be given away between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., in partnership with New York Restoration Project (NYRP). Register online once registration goes live.
