NOURISHING AND GUARDING NEWKIRK AVENUE'S TREES


On Sunday, April 15th, meet at Compost for Brooklyn's garden for an activity-packed day: Street Gardening Workday, Seeds for Saplings, and Nature Journaling Workshop.


  • 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.: Street Gardening Workday. Green the streets on Newkirk Avenue and build tree guards.
  • 1:30 p.m. to 2:15 p.m.: Seeds For Saplings--Learning in the Garden. Children ages 3 to 5 will make their own mini-garden and explore the compost project.
  • 2:30 pm to 5:30 p.m.: Nature Journaling Workshop. Children ages 7 to 11 will investigate and discover the big and small events of our local ecosystem.
Send an RSVP to info @ compostforbrooklyn.org if  you can, but it isn't required.
