COMPOST FOR BROOKLYN'S DONATION MATCHING FUND

Compost for Brooklyn's (C4B) accomplishments in 2011:
  • tons of organic waste collected
  • outreach to Brooklyn schools
  • events for discussing urban waste management
  • Award from Citizens Committee for NYC
  • composting in the P.S. 217 cafeteria
  • on-site compost pick-up service
  • composting introduced to the Cortelyou Road Greenmarket
  • compost given to community members for public greening projects
C4B is looking for tax-deductible donations to its all-volunteer organization. Especially since a neighbor is going to match donations made through January 13th--dollar-for-dollar--up to $500, making $500 into  $1,000. Any size donation is welcome--$5, $10 or $100--and is needed to buy tools, equipment, seeds, and plants.

Donate $100 or more and get a C4B t-shirt for free.
