WALK-A-THON TO BENEFIT PROSPECT PARK

 
 
2nd Annual Walk-a-thon for Prospect Park
Sunday, September 18th
9:00 a.m.: check-in begins
10:00 a.m.: walk starts

Help raise money for Prospect Park to help keep Prospect Park beautiful and recover from Hurricane Irene by walking. 150 trees were uprooted or severely damaged because of Hurricane Irene. Sign up to walk, ask your friends to sponsor you, then walk around Prospect Park. The Brooklyn Community Foundation will match each dollar raised with one of their own, up to $25,000.

The walk-a-thon is open to all ages and abilities. It will take place rain or shine.

To start the 5K loop around Prospect Park, enter the park at 15th Street and Prospect Park West (Bartel Pritchard Square entrance). A map of the route is online.

Advanced registration fee: $10 for adults, $5 for children under 12. Day of registration fee: $20 for adults, $10 for children under 12.
