THE BEAUTIFUL "HOMES" OF GREEN-WOOD CEMETERY

Northern Exposure: More Tales of Green-Wood Walking Tour
Saturday, August 13th, 1:00 p.m.

Green-Wood Cemetery's monuments and mausoleums are not only beautiful and impressive but also have fascinating stories to tell. Visit the final resting places and hear the stories of the Father of Baseball, a pioneering embalmer, the scandalous wife of an equally scandalous Civil War general, the "best woman who ever lived," Charles Ebbets, Johnny Torrio, Elmer Sperry, Juan Trippe, James Gordon Bennett, Townsend Harris, F.A.O. Schwarz, and more.

Tour guide Ruth Edebohls, a native of Brooklyn, is a licensed New York City Tour Guide and urban historian.

The walk may be hilly and strenuous, so wear comfortable walking shoes.

Cost: $10 for members of The Green-Wood Historic Fund; $15 for non-members.

Reservations are strongly recommended. Click here to purchase advance tickets online, or call (718) 210-3080.

Meet at the 5th Avenue and 25th Street entrance.
