JEWS AND MUSLIMS WILL DINE TOGETHER AT SYNAGOGUE

Dinner under the Stars
Friday, May 5th,  6:15 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Jews and Muslims will share in a "Dinner under the Stars" at Flatbush Jewish Center in an effort to create bridges between local communities. The synagogue will be hosting guests from the Bangladesh Islamic Center on Cortelyou Road.

A catered Shabbat (Jewish Sabbath) dinner will be followed by a lively evening service. Out of respect for the dietary needs of both communities, a vegetarian meal will be served. Child-friendly options will be available.

To accommodate the guests--who need to leave by 7:45 p.m. for evening services--dinner will start at approximately 6:15 p.m. The Kabbalat Shabbat will start at 7:45 p.m.

The cost for adults is $18 for members and $20 for non-members. For children over five years old, the cost is $6.

Register via PayPal. Or contact the office by phone at (718) 871-5200 or e-mail at office @ flatbushjewishcenter.org.
